Avenna and Kalea......My girls. I'm still getting used to that term........it's always been "my boys" for the last 13 years.........crazy. Avenna is 22 months and following in her mothers footsteps. meaning....if it shines, makes noises, is musical, has a beat, if it shines, shoes, food and if it shines she loves it. Life would be hard to live without shiny things and cubic zirconia......

Kalea? well......I'm certainly exposing her to shiny things and PLADOW...but she is still emerging in the personality dept. She is smiling and that makes me smile.

I know it's a brave and or stupid thing to show pictures of ones self after having two babies....but I'm doing it. I'm doing it so that the all will now follow my travels, adventures, failures and success back into my skinny jeans. I'm hoping you guys will keep me honest and committed. So please feel free to give me positive affirmations ALL the time....it's gonna be needed........

The latest news since my last venture in blog world is.......We had a baby girl! Doesn't nine months fly? NO.........NO IT DOESNT.....I couldn't be happier that my chickadee is here. She is now officially 4 months old today. Whew.....everyone is still alive.......(that is saying something)

This is it. Adam decided that since we are Virginians now and we are no longer able to go the annual Smith Family Fondue..........let's burn the house down? Yes we spent New Years Eve keeping our house intact , removing the smoke, saving the Christmas Decor and airing out the smell.... I love the Holidays!!!

It's been awhile since I've posted...This new baby gig is still a shock to my system and my life. While older and wiser........thos adjectives don't help in the baby business arena. Older makes things harder and wiser reminds me that maybe ignorance is bliss? Either way Avenna is still a joy and makes the journey worth it. WE iz gonna be parents. We announced our news on Easter Sat to the Smith clan...and then again to the AhQuin troops on Easter Sunday. As you can see we had shirts that broke our news of the stork heading our way. I was amazed at the lack of t-shirt readers that are out there....and even when they did read them.....it didn't register for a few beats. INTERESTING. None the less, all got wise and hip to our news. The AhQuemmons are adding on to their family!!!

It's the rite of passage every year. The dreaded christmas picture to be mass mailed to all friends and family to let them know how we are.... Our experience was rather painless this year (for once). My children were in good spirits and we all looked fabulous......It's the first year ever we didn't have to cajole someone into half-heartedly saying "cheese" while they grin and bear it.. It's Officially one month until My Hawaiian Hunk and I tie the knot , add water....and poof.....we will have instant family. I figure with a little brown sugar it will make this family the best repast ever. I write today in gratitude of the little things that make life sweet. Tender mercies....brown sugar......pick your adjective but I'm gratiful for the sweet additive that Adam is in my life and my childrens lives. I have so much depth of feeling for all he is and what he is willing to take on.....and that he loves us. This is no small feat. Thus.....gratitude. Thank you Adam for recognizing that the Lord conquers all and we will be happy because of our dependence on him.

I should mention that my new blog site is called beccanboys.....because I have three men in my life that make me happy. Two are my devilishly handsome children and the other is my Fiance. Devan is 10. Josh is 8 and Adam(who up till now has only been referred to as my Hawaiian Hunk) is my main squeeze! We all seem to "fit". I have religiously told my children that families like ours are a puzzle. We all have to "fit" and that is how we will know if "Mr. Right" is, well...right for us. He will "fit".....and the amazing news is.......He does. Miracles do abound on earth today......thanks to Adam for being the missing piece to our puzzle...
